About Me

I’m an American living in Manchester, England.  I came to Manchester three years ago to get an M.A. in Middle Eastern Studies and ended up staying, thanks to the wonderful man that I met here and married.  Currently, I work for a Manchester based charity, Project African Wilderness, which promotes environmental conservation and development at Mwabvi Wildlife Reserve in  Southern Malawi.

I love sewing, knitting, trying out new crafts and DIY as much as I can and recently opened a shop on Etsy, I Dream of Crafts.  Since I only work part-time, this leaves me a lot of time for crafting.  This blog was not just set up to showcase my craft projects, but I hope it will also be a useful source of yarn reviews, simple patterns and other informative things that pop up as they happen.
