I’ve finally decided to follow the blog trend now that it’s not trendy and everyone has one, but oh well. I love making all sorts of things, so will be posting the stuff I make here, and maybe some patterns and whatever I feel like I guess.
At the moment I am working on a knitted skirt, Skating Queen, from knitty.com’s Fall 2004 issue. It’s taken me 2 months to knit, and all that is left is sewing over the drawstring casing. I’ve also been quite addicted to making finger knitted flowers; very easy, cute and versatile.
The blue flower is sewn onto a ring, but could be made into a little pin or any kind of embellishment. The white and pink one is a bracelet. They are both made out of Sirdar Big Softie yarn.
I made a blanket out of Sirdar Bigga and it just sheds wool everywhere and it didn’t take long for the blanket to look a bit worn and natty. I think it is being discontinued, which I am not surprised about. So, I hope I don’t have the same problem with the Big Softie; however, they are are so easy, a replacement could easily me made.
